Tony

Wolski

Director

Tony started his creative career in the ad agency world. As a creative director working on Ford, he regularly saw a disconnect between client needs and production offerings in a shifting media landscape. In 2016 he co-founded Former Company with the goal of offering a better, smarter solution for film production.

Since then, as director he has been at the helm of commercial work for some of the world’s most notable brands—including McDonald’s, Jeep, Chevrolet, Ford, Travelocity, and Gibson Guitars. He’s also a noteworthy music video director, having worked with critically acclaimed bands such as Protomartyr, Converge, METZ and The Armed (for whom he is also the creative director). His work in that field has aired on HBOMax and Adult Swim and has been covered by AV Club, Pitchfork, Men’s Health, The New York Times, The Atlantic, and many more.

On film, Tony taps into his background in design with a consistently fresh and graphic approach toward composing the frame. His quirk and sense of humor pervades his sense of storytelling to yield work that’s always surprising.
